Mercedes-Benz diesel emissions payment
$2,000 per vehicle for getting the free emissions fix.
A coalition of state attorneys general settled with Mercedes-Benz over BlueTEC II diesels. Mercedes pays $2,000 per eligible vehicle to encourage the free Approved Emission Modification (AEM). This is a government settlement between state attorneys general and Mercedes-Benz USA — not a class action lawsuit.
Who may qualify?
- Current or former owners or lessees of Mercedes BlueTEC II or Sprinter BlueTEC II diesels (including Freightliner-badged Sprinters) registered in the US
- The Approved Emission Modification (AEM) must be installed at an authorized dealer on or after August 1, 2023, or installed by August 31, 2026
